SPRED is an archdiocese program that uses Montessori-type techniques to ready our friends with disabilities and the catechists to hear and understand the Word of God.   We foster a sense of the sacred, prayerful awareness and an attitude of celebration in our community of faith through music, symbols and dance. St. Teresa’s hosts a SPRED group for our friends from ages 11 to 16, since January 2005.

The goal of SPRED is to help the children or adults with disabilities develop an awareness of God in their lives; an awareness of themselves as persons of dignity who are loved by God; an awareness of themselves as an integral part of our parish community and the entire Church.  This is accomplished through meaningful one-on-one relationships within a small community of faith.

St. Teresa’s loves our SPRED group!
