Ashes on Armitage
St. Teresa parishioners take Ash Wednesday to the CTA’s Brown Line Armitage station and distribute ashes to commuters heading to work. Most commuters and pedestrians are extremely appreciative and love the idea; some even ask to take a picture to send to friends and family. Recipients also receive a homemade hot cross bun furnished by parishioners.
